Since the time of David, music has been an instrument of worship and spiritual warfare. In Psalm 150, we are exhorted: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Every note, every voice, every instrument becomes an offering that lifts our hearts to heaven. When the Church sings, we not only hear melodies: we proclaim the truth, strengthen our faith, and unite the body of Christ in one voice. The apostle Paul also affirms this in Ephesians 5:19: “Speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord.” Music is communion, teaching, and testimony. In it, the message of the Gospel becomes audible and penetrates where words alone cannot reach. The music ministry sustains congregational worship, prepares hearts for the Word, and reflects the beauty of the Kingdom of God. It is not about human talent, but about spiritual commitment. Every musician, every singer, is a servant who transforms their art into an altar. June 20, 2026
