Pros: numerous amp & effect models at launch, both legacy (CLASSIC) and new (BOUTIQUE) good touch screen and interface plug & play, no manual needed ON/OFF button very adjustable screen brightness standard 1A at 9VDC center negative power supply (also provided) can profile amps, cabs, effects (very unique in this class) Cons: some mediocre models (especially in the CLASSIC range) relatively poor dynamics no cab matchmaking no XLR outputs no mic level setting (only very atypical line over TRS) no included treadle no unique settings (all models have identical cookie-cutter parameters) relatively poor value for the price (especially compared to the GX-10 in the same class with it) Neutral: limited controls outside of touch-screen (but not every modeler is a Tone Master Pro or costs as one) The verdict: If you want to profile your physical gear, get this GS1000. It's probably the cheapest modeler capable of this. Also, the profiles it creates sound good. But if you don't care about profiling, there are better offerings in terms of features and value both in its class, and overall.
