"Ki Nadare" by Purnata Mohanty

The Odissi dance form is primarily dedicated to Lord Sri Krishna. Many of the dance items are performed on stage keeping in view the chemistry between lord Sri Krishna and Radha. The Abhinaya “Ki Naada Re Prana Sangini” is one such beautiful recitation, which showcases the madness of Radha for the magical tunes those are originated from the flute of Lord Sri Krishna. Radha, being the eternal beloved of Sri Krishna, finds the tunes irresistible and gets drawn towards it, but unable to find the source. In the quest for the source of the magical tune, she finds a course of activities, which are primarily due to the effect of the mesmerizing playing of the flute by Lord Sri Krishna. She finds the cattle and the deer being steady, the river water being stagnant and the gopis of brij dhaam loosing their consciousness and getting drawn towards the tunes. She finds the tune so attractive that she keeps on searching for Krishna in the woods, in the vines and on the river banks. Finally unable to find him, she settles down, calmly enjoying and surrendering to the magical music.
