The Fit gets a refresh for 2018 and now offers more advanced safety features, an improved suspension, and the return of the Sport trim. The Fit can carry a ton of stuff, will commute comfortably and safely, and starts well under $20,000. The Fit’s 1.5-liter 4-cylinder puts out 130 hp and 114 lb-ft with EPA estimates of 29 mpg city, 36 highway, 31 combined with a stick. With a continuously variable transmission, it offers 128 hp and 113 lb-ft, with estimates of 33, 40, 36. That’s not much power, but it works fine for the Fit. Honda Sensing, including forward-collision warning and avoidance, lane-departure warning, and road-departure mitigation, is standard in higher trims and available to lower trims with the CVT. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard in all trims but the base LX.
