Is Modern Gibson Hardware Bad?? (+ Faber Upgrades)

I changed the bridges on my Tele & Esquire a while back, and the bridge/trem assembly on my Strat, and very much enjoyed the (subtle) results. I've read so much on forums over the years about modern Gibson hardware - and many people who have done the comparison have said that it's not fantastic when compared to the vintage Gibson and aftermarket reissue stuff. I wanted to look into this further. So I'll be treating my Gibson SG to a completely new set of hardware from Faber in Germany...how much difference will it make? I'll be swapping the tailpiece (to Faber's lightweight solid aluminium one...which REALLY is lightweight!!), the bridge (from the current Nashville Tune O Matic to Faber's "ABRN"); as well as the studs and bushings. The bushings are what are directly in contact with the guitar body, so I didn't want to neglect them. What do you think? An improvement? Or was the Gibson stuff absolutely fine? Which did you prefer?
