Searching for New Ledges in Onslow Bay | Winter Sea Bass on Jigs

In this trip I spent the day exploring Onslow Bay, searching for new bottom ledges and structure using my sonar to read the bottom. Once I found an area that looked promising, I used my charts to help plot and understand the structure before putting lines down. I used different artificial jigs to see what was holding on the bottom and how the fish would react. Then dropped an underwater camera to get a clear look at the structure and what was actually down there. Winter sea bass can be spread out, so this trip was about slowing down, reading the bottom, and learning a new area rather than just running to known numbers. If you fish Onslow Bay or are trying to understand how to find new bottom instead of relying on public spots, this video shows the process I use to locate structure and figure out what’s living on it. #OnslowBay #northcarolinafishing #winterfishing #SlowPitchJigging #offshorefishing #bottomfishing #findingfish
