KIP Kartódromo de Palmela SWS Sprint 2026 2nd: Finally, a good day for karting. Crash in final ☠️

Follow me on   / karp_drifting   for more!! PT 🇵🇹 2ª Ronda do Campeonato Sprint SWS do KIP, no geral positivo. 1º Manga média com um P16 mas com um Kart algo fraco em ponta. Na segunda manga, qualificação limpa com um P8, melhor até agora no KIP, a culminar com um P9 na corrida, depois de um P10 na 1º ronda mais um top 10. A Final começou bem com algumas posições ganhas e estando a rodar em média na 16ª posição, tudo tranquilo até à penultima volta, onde um piloto com uma abordagem extrema na curva do poste acaba por me virar, tendo um embate de frente em contra mão. Em adição, levei 5 segundos de penalização sem justificação por parte dos comissários em pista e, como o onboard mostra, sem qualquer atitude para tal. O piloto da abordagem extrema, nem sancionado foi, levando a que mais uma vez a questionar quais os critérios da equipa de comissários, sendo estes comissários do autódromo do Estoril. Mostrar bandeirinhas às cores sabemos todos... EN 🇬🇧 2nd Round of the KIP SWS Sprint Championship, overall positive. 1st Heat average result with a P16 but with a somewhat weak kart on strait line speed. In the second heat, clean qualifying with a P8, best so far at KIP, culminating in a P9 in the race, after a P10 in the 1st round plus another top 10. The final started well with a few positions gained and running in 16th place on average, everything was fine until the penultimate lap, where a driver with an extreme approach to the pole corner ended up turning me over, resulting in a head-on collision. In addition, I received a 5-second penalty without justification from the track marshals and, as the onboard footage shows, without any reason for it. The driver who took the extreme approach was not even penalised, leading me to question once again the criteria of the marshals, who are marshals at the Estoril racetrack. We all know how to wave flags...
