To solve it, we have to calculate a first-degree equation with fractions. A first-degree equation has one unknown (a letter representing a given number), and the exponent of this unknown is the number one (1), which doesn't need to be present. We can use letters of the alphabet, such as x, y, t, among others, to represent an unknown. In the case of the examples presented, it was the letter x. A first-degree equation consists of two members separated by an equal sign. To solve it, we need to find the value of the unknown. To do this, we use inverse operations. Equations are excellent tools for solving various problem situations. BNCC Skill: EF07MA18 - Solve and develop problems that can be represented by first-degree polynomial equations, reducible to the form ax + b = c, using the properties of equality.
