Masacre en Zacatecas: asesinan a 10 personas y cuelgan cuerps en puente

Authorities in Zacatecas deployed an operation with 480 security personnel and three helicopters to locate those responsible for the murder of 10 people, whose bodies were found abandoned on highways in the municipalities of Pánuco, Morelos, and Saín Alto. So far, no arrests have been made, and the Attorney General's Office is pursuing several lines of investigation. State Attorney General Cristian Paul Camacho reported that eight of the victims died from asphyxiation by strangulation and two from gunshot wounds. He also indicated that the main hypotheses point to possible acts of extortion and collusion by public officials, and therefore the investigation will also include a financial inquiry. Among the victims were five business owners, two municipal officials, a former mayor, and a rancher—individuals who, according to authorities, had no criminal record and were not identified as members of criminal groups.
