The first full week of our 3-month lap of Tasmania begins with two free camps and some great hikes

G'day, fellow travellers! Welcome back to The Getaway Zone! Our three-month Tasmanian adventure has officially begun, and this first full week has been nothing short of amazing! We start our journey in northern Tasmania, camping at Bannon’s Park in Gunn’s Plains, then heading back to the coast to stay at Midpoint at Sulphur Creek, just outside the charming town of Penguin. Along the way, we explore stunning waterfalls and take in the incredible views from Leven Canyon’s lookouts, where the river winds through the gorge far below. Feeling adventurous, we also tackle Mount Gnomon and then wander through the lush Ferndene Gorge Reserve, following a beautiful fern-lined trail to Thorsby Tunnel.
