Today, we'll look at carbon-reinforced polyamide 6 from two Russian manufacturers—St. Petersburg-based 3D CLUB and Moscow-based REC (which includes Filamentarno and Picasso). Some Western marketers call carbon-reinforced polyamide 6 "black aluminum," hinting at its strength comparable to aluminum. Is there any basis for this comparison? As always, there's a short answer... and that answer is YES, yes, but... it's not that simple, but we figured it out! The materials for this study were provided by the manufacturers free of charge, and the study was conducted in accordance with our ironclad set of rules: 1. Materials voluntarily provided for study by the manufacturer or seller are tested using the same methods as materials purchased by us or provided to us, for a fee or free of charge, by third parties. 2. The video, as well as its text version (if published), will clearly indicate that the material or materials in question were voluntarily and free of charge transferred to us by the manufacturer or seller. 3. The results of research on materials voluntarily and free of charge transferred to us will not be available to the parties transferring them before the channel's viewers. In fact, the research results will not be known to anyone before the channel's viewers, except for the channel's creative team. 4. Transferring material to us does not constitute an obligation on our part to conduct the research. The materials included in the research will be those that are of interest to us and/or (in our opinion, of course) of interest to the channel's viewers. Materials will be included in the research in accordance with our experimental plan. 5. We will never ask or demand monetary or other compensation from manufacturers, sellers, or anyone else for the inclusion of any materials in the research. Some technical aspects not discussed in the video: All samples, including the 3D Benchy, were printed with a 0.6 mm nozzle and 0.3 mm layer thickness. Using thinner layers significantly increases the risk of nozzle clogging. Glue stick was used to improve adhesion of the first layer to the bed.
