Gerringong Falls || Vlog 02 || How to get to the bottom

Merry Christmas Trax family This video has been long overdue - almost 4 years ago I visited the bottom of Gerringong Falls. This is hands down our favourite Waterfall in NSW and favourite place to go Wild Swimming. This place is so unique and so absolutely gobsmackingly beautiful that video's and photos will never do it justice, but we hope we can give you a glimpse into its beauty. Come view it for yourself with our guide of How to get to the bottom of Gerringong Falls, NSW. If this was a graded trail; it would be Hard, as there is no clear directions or fixed trail. Please only attempt this if you hold navigation skills, are confident hiking long distances and are prepared for any emergency. Remember, Adventure friends, Please LEAVE NO TRACE on your travels. and an Instagram photo is not worth your life so stay back from edges and don't do anything outside of your capability. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GERRINGONG FALLS TRAX FACTS Time: 1.5 hour bike ride to top of Falls, 1 hour walk down to the bottom. Allow 5.5 hours moving time return and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the falls. Distance: Approx 22km return (Or 18km return to top of the falls) Tip: you can buy marking tape from Bunnings for a couple of dollars. Please make sure you remove on your way back up. Rope is also a good idea for the Chimney We know you will be mesmerised by these falls and it is easy to lose track of time down here, but make sure you leave plenty of time to get back home in the Daylight as you are so low in the valley the sun dips below the cliffs making it darker quicker. The water is always freezing as it only gets direct sunlight for part of the day- so make sure you bring warm clothes to put on after if you intend to swim. When going to remote areas always let someone know where you are going and the time you intend to return, in case they need to call emergency services if you don't return on time.
