Eckelmann: Laser Cutting for the Automated Manufacturing of the Future

As a specialist in the production of reusable packaging, Engels Behältertechnik serves customers in the logistics and environmental sectors. Sustainable production is a key focus. By implementing MicroStep’s MSE Smart FL, the company was able to significantly reduce its consumption of electricity and cutting gases, as well as processing times. MicroStep Europe found a partner and supplier for control technology in Eckelmann to implement the future-oriented aspects of digitalization. Eckelmann developed the complete IPS plus control and drive software for the MSE Smart FL. And the collaboration goes even further: Eckelmann is a technology partner in the showrooms in Bad Wörishofen, Bavaria, and Dorsten, Westphalia. In addition, Eckelmann serves as a sparring partner for Europe-wide further developments within the framework of the IndustryFusion Foundation (IFF), with the aim of providing networked machines and intelligent production lines through this joint foundation.
