Automatic Waste Collection System for Airports: MetroTaifun® & Taifun® for Solid and Wet Waste

The MariMatic vacuum conveying system ensures fast and efficient waste collection in the airport area. The system conveys both solid commercial waste and wet biowaste from food courts to the waste transfer terminal. METROTAIFUN® SOLID WASTE COLLECTION: The system handles airliner waste by installing collection points close to the gates and aircraft. Commercial waste from aircraft is easily dispatched with as the collection points are located close to the personnel. The waste collecting pipeline can be installed either underground or in the ceiling as retrofit. Public areas are also covered by the waste collection system. The waste collecting pipeline can be installed in the ceilings of maintenance corridors requiring very little space. The MetroTaifun® waste chutes collect waste from highrise buildings such as hotels and offices. The patented MT-Formator forms the waste to fit into the vacuum pipeline. Various waste fractions are collected at the Waste Transfer Terminal into containers. The waste is compacted in the containers, maximizing capacity. Waste containers are easily transported to recycling facilities. TAIFUN® WET WASTE COLLECTION: The Taifun® system handles the biowaste from food courts and restaurants. Wet biowaste is conveyed via suction points directly from the staff workstations. Biowaste is conveyed safely and hygienically with no odours or smells. Wet waste from food courts is transferred to the Taifun® septic tank and recycled accordingly.
