Draksharamam Bheemeswara Swamy Temple (5:30 AM): We kicked off our morning at one of the sacred Pancharama Kshetras—the historic Draksharamam temple! Built over 1,100 years ago, this architectural marvel houses a magnificent 14-foot tall Shivalingam that spans across two floors of the temple. 🇫🇷 2. Yanam (The French Enclave in Andhra): Next, we headed to Yanam—a unique Union Territory governed under Puducherry, located geographically right inside East Godavari! We explored its colonial history (a French colony until 1954) and visited the famous Yanam Riverbank (often mistaken for a sea beach, but actually the bank of the Gautami Godavari river!). 🌿 3. Scenic Drive to Amalapuram: Cruising through Konaseema's green coconut groves, we crossed giant Godavari bridges and spotted the majestic Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy statue along the way. 🍛 4. Siripalle Nageswara Rao Mixed Biryani (Honest Review!): We made a special stop in Siripalle village to try the famous Nageswara Rao Mixed Biryani. Since there was no dine-in facility, we carried our parcel to a nearby lush green paddy field and enjoyed a peaceful lunch in nature. The verdict? Traditional Goli Soda & Ballakattu Experience: In a quiet, random village, we stopped at an elderly grandmother’s small shop for refreshing traditional Goli Sodas. Nearby, we hopped onto a local wooden raft/boat (Ballakattu) along the river backwaters. 🍬 6.World-Famous Atreyapuram Pootharekulu Stop: Right after our boat ride, we drove straight to Atreyapuram—the birthplace of the iconic GI-tagged paper-thin sweet, Pootharekulu! We bought fresh, pure ghee dry fruit Pootharekulu directly from the local makers. Then, we drove to a scenic, tranquil spot surrounded by nature, sat down, and relished these melt-in-your-mouth delicacies! 🌊 7. The Unique "Rendu Payalu" River Island Village: We visited a stunning, offbeat village nestled right in the middle of where the Godavari River splits into two distinct streams (Rendu Payalu). We walked across the reservoir barrage, enjoyed the breeze, and took in the peaceful river views. 🛕 8. Godavari Maha Harathi in Rajahmundry: We reached Rajahmundry just in time for the divine evening Godavari Harathi at the river ghats—a spiritual experience you cannot miss when visiting Rajahmundry! 🍗 9. Dinner Finale at Vivek Biryani (Rajahmundry): To wrap up our 24-hour journey, we headed straight to Vivek Biryani—unquestionably one of the best and most flavorful local biryanis in Rajahmundry!
