Setting Up Your Audio Recorder
So you got your first audio recorder... Now what? Today, Andrew goes over the 5 most common types of sound mixes you'll need to know about on set as a sound mixer. Whether you're just starting out, or are a seasoned mixer, being able to pick out the right types of sound mixes for different clients is critical for the path to becoming a professional sound mixer. Andrew takes the confusion out of the menu routing options on the extremely popular Zoom F8. These menu settings are identical to the menus to the also-popular Zoom F8n and Zoom F4. The Sound Devices 664, 633 and 688 also use a very similar audio routing menu feature. You can also find a simple version of these audio routing menus in the Sound Devices Mix-Pre 3, Mix-Pre 6 and Mix-Pre 10t. If you just bought your first sound recorder, this video will help you get started in capturing audio for your next film, commercial, interview, corporate video, or anything else. #Filmmaking #SoundMixing #ZoomF8 #ZoomF8n Want more free sound and filmmaking tutorials?
