Socotra, Mystery island
This documentary reveals archeological findings and previously undiscovered caves that Belgian cavers from the Socotra Karst Project found on their journey through the subterranean world of Socotra, an island off the coast of Yemen. Yemen is the poorest country in the Middle East and has been torn by civil-war in which Saudi Arabia, Iran and the USA have all played a part. Yemen is currently facing a major Cholera epidemic and bombing by Saudi Arabia, and Socotra is once again cut off from the rest of the world. Rik Martens
