Players assume the role of the “Endministrator,” leading Endfield Industries in a harsh world filled with natural disasters called Catastrophes, including a dangerous phenomenon known as Corruption that warps environments and reality. Like Terra, the setting features elements such as Originium and the organization Rhodes Island, while new threats include hostile creatures called Aggeloi and outlaw scavengers known as Landbreakers. As various factions compete and cooperate to survive, Endfield Industries spearheads efforts to explore and reclaim the planet’s ruins, rebuilding its Protocol Recycling Department and testing advanced industrial systems in remote regions like Valley No. 4 to expand further into the wilderness.
