Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman responded to complaints from chicken farmers about high production costs amidst oversupply. During a press conference, Amran was asked about the farmers' complaints, stating that the problem stems not only from oversupply but also from rising production costs, particularly in the upstream sector related to imported raw materials. In response, Amran explained that the government has prepared various measures to assist farmers, one of which is through the distribution of subsidized corn as a raw material for animal feed. "For feed, we subsidize corn. We have 200,000 tons of our corn, already subsidized. The SPHP subsidy is already subsidized, and we provide it at a good price for farmers. In fact, we buy it from the start for farmers, so we buy and pool corn to ensure farmers produce well. Amran explained that the corn that the government has absorbed is then stored and distributed back to farmers when demand increases, such as in the current situation. "Then we store it.
