We Escaped the Marina... Then Spinnaker Drama at Sea! (Ep. 16)

After a busy few days in Mackay Marina, it was finally time to continue our journey north. Before we could leave, we had a mountain of jobs to tackle. We hired the marina courtesy car and completed our biggest grocery shop yet and stocked up on supplies after running dangerously low. Once the boat was provisioned and ready to go, we set sail for Brampton Island, part of the beautiful Cumberland Islands in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. At Brampton, Luc tries his luck fishing and spearfishing, we explore the remains of the island's abandoned resort, and enjoy an incredible sunset as the Whitsundays draw ever closer. The following morning, after our first proper breakfast in weeks, we hoist the anchor, and attempt to fly the spinnaker. What should have been a simple sail quickly turns into a frustrating challenge that takes three attempts to get right.
