Six days wading the flats of Christmas Island — bonefish in the lagoon, GT in the bluewater, and a triggerfish on the last day. This was my third saltwater trip, and the island gave me both more success and more humility than I expected. Christmas Island (Kiritimati) has a way of doing that. We waded every day — no skiff. Uncrowded flats, rarely another angler in sight. I'll be going back.
