Grand Teton Free Solo Day Hike - Owen-Spalding Route

8/28/23. I had been to the Tetons once in 2016 but wanted to come back to bag the Grand Teton. This was an awesome hike/scramble/climb, and honestly wasn't too sketchy, but it's not for everyone. It starts at the Lupine Meadows Trailhead in Grand Teton National Park, in the state of Wyoming. Wyoming Whiskey is a great site for beta on the route, which describes such features as the eye of the needle, the chockstone chimney, the belly roll almost, the bell roll, the black rock chimney, the briggs slabs, the double chimney, the owen chimney, sargent's chimney, the three stooges, the horse, etc. Note that the thumbnail picture was on another hike in 2016 when I went up Paintbrush Canyon and then down Cascade Canyon, and got a great view of the Grand. This is not on the route I took for this hike. Music: Art of silence by uniq   / uniqofficial   Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
