General Motors-Grand Rapids Stamping Operations
This video shows the metal stamping process; basically what the steel looks like coming into the plant and, after various metal stamping operations, what it looks like when it leaves the plant and is sent out to General Motors assembly plants. This plant made hoods, roofs, quarter panels, doors; basically all exterior metal for most of GM's North American vehicles. Unfortunately, this Grand Rapids GM facility was closed in 2009 due to the poor economy.
