The village of Misirevo has a long history. It was named after its first owner, Dmitry Nikitich Misiur-Levashov. In the mid-16th century, the next owner, Dmitry Vasilyevich Nebogatov, built a wooden church here in honor of St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki. The village was later given to the Joseph-Volokolamsk Monastery. Today, Misirevo is divided into two parts: the dacha area and the village itself, which includes a functioning church dedicated to St. Sergius of Radonezh. The area within the village boundaries is 195 hectares. Although 360 people are registered in the village, the actual population is much higher – approximately 1,000. There are two springs in the village. There is also an obelisk commemorating the soldiers who fell during the Great Patriotic War.
