Rescued by Righteous Among the Nations: Testimony of Laura Oberlander
Laura Oberlander was born in Tuczyn, Eastern Poland, in 1934. In July 1941, shortly after the Germans occupied Tuczyn, locals launched a pogrom against the Jews in which Laura and her mother were severely injured. Laura describes her family's sufferings in the ghetto, the loss of her elder sister Hanele, escape to the nearby village of Szubkow and the 18-months long hiding in the barn of the Gerasimchik family. http://www.yadvashem.org/righteous/st...
