When I was little I went to the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan to audition. I was sent home because the splits were my weak point. Before reaching your dream as a ballerina you have to face reality. In the dance studio we are all very good. When the auditions arrive you begin to understand what the fundamental factors in dance are. The older ones have failed many times. In this video I tell you my story about all the failures before entering the Basel Academy in Switzerland. I was 11 years old when I started auditioning for dance academies. At first I underestimated what it could mean. The auditions I have done are for the Royal Ballet, English National Ballet and the Munich Academy. Through my experiences you can understand that failures are part of life and shape us. Failing is important. Understanding why is fundamental. Before the auditions I watched tons of dance videos. Videos of all kinds to give me energy. Watching other people's mistakes helps us improve very quickly. For all those things we can control we have to give our best and be combative.
