This technique works for all color mediums (copic markers, colored pencils, etc.), but in this video, we'll use the Serene Blue Watercolor Palette by Daniel Smith to make some moody blue swatches that evoke a stormy sea with heavy clouds overhead. Once we're done painting our color swatches, we'll paint a small scene in the center swatch featuring a ship on a turbulent sea. I'll also show you other examples of swatch art you can make, including a plant-themed piece, a garden-themed piece, and a winter forest scene.
