１９世紀後半から２０世紀前半にかけて活躍したフランス人の画家、ラウル・デュフィの作品集。 アンリ・マティスに傾倒し、いろいろと試行錯誤を重ねた結果、美しく透明感のある色彩とリズミカルな線描で、絵画の中から音楽的なメロディーが流れるような独自の作風を確立しました。絵画の他に、本の挿絵、舞台美術、テキスタイルデザイン、タペストリー、陶器の絵付け、ファッション誌の表紙などの仕事も精力的に手がけました。絵画の世界に音楽的要素とポップ感覚を持ち込んだ最初の画家だと言えると思うのですが...
