A Collagraph Using The Intaglio à la Poupée Technique
I built an app for artists who want real critique and advice - see it here - https://apps.apple.com/eg/app/art-cri... À la poupée is a largely historic intaglio printmaking technique for making colour prints by applying different ink colours to a single printing plate. In this video, I take you through my plate and how made it up for a picture of a tree in a churchyard I captured in spring. A few little things I used to get the finished result included brown tape, wood glue, wallpaper, mount board, shellac and plastering mesh. Hope you enjoy it. 0:04 - The Collagraph Plate 0:16 - Dark areas 0:39 - Light areas 0:56 - Creating the foreground wall 1:19 - Creating the windows 2:54 - Inking up 6:04 - The reveal
