Charla CASUL con Jesús Ramírez-Bermúdez sobre “La melancolía creativa”

In his essay, writer and neuropsychiatrist Jesús Ramírez-Bermúdez combines the history of psychiatry, clinical narrative, and neuroscience to investigate the hidden mechanisms of creativity and its links to melancholy. Join us for the first CASUL online talk in August to discuss “Creative Melancholy” (Debate), with Mónica Maristain. “Melancholy runs through the history of the West: it is a symbol of disillusionment and suffering; a critical sign that indicates the outcome of collective upheavals and the limitations of all civilizing efforts. But it is also a starting point for the artistic journey.” ---- All opinions or positions expressed here are the sole responsibility of the author and do not necessarily reflect or commit the position of the Casa Universitaria del Libro (University Book House), or by extension, the National Autonomous University of Mexico. ---- SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL Join the University Book House (CASUL) for its live broadcasts, all of which will be published on our CASUL channel. ---- FOLLOW US ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND FIND OUT ABOUT ONLINE WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS Website: https://casul.unam.mx/ Facebook:   / casul.unam   Twitter:   / casulunam   Instagram:   / casul_unam
