Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003 Siren Test | Full Alert | Belding, MI | 8/30/25

Location: Belding City Hall System: Ionia County Test time: Every Saturday at noon Since my good friend Dylan (‪@xXSo1arGamingXx‬) was visiting for Labor Day weekend, he and I decided to head up to Michigan together on Saturday to record a couple sirens. We decided to do this Thunderbolt 1003 in Belding since it recently got a chopper swap, although we weren't anticipating there being a Labor Day festival right next to this thing. Upon seeing this, we decided to call to make sure they were still testing, and they said they would, so we stuck with Belding. However, due to the festival happening right where Dylan was originally going to set up, he decided to branch off to a nearby 2001 in town, while I stayed here at the 1003 and settled on this shot. They were occasionally playing music at the festival, but thankfully, that didn't interfere with the test too much. Right at noon, this beast wound up, and it was quite punchy. If you listen closely, you can hear someone trying to talk through the PA speakers at the festival right as the Thunderbolt starts up, only to get immediately drowned out. From my memory, this was probably about as loud as the Secret Park Thunderbolt in Orrville. Despite the festival catching us off guard, I was still able to come away with a decent video of this thing, and Dylan also got a success where he was at, so for the most part, we were both satisfied with what we got.
