(Quarantine) By Donna Joseph aka Donna J of Longtime Coming Entertainment talks about some of the different struggles that Donna J went through or even witnessed during the start of the pandemic. Through all of the turmoil and craziness, Donna J found love for herself. 2020 has gave her a much closer view as to what's really important in life and also it forced her to embrace her natural beauty. When everything first shut down, Donna J and many others was not prepared but as a essential worker/healthcare provider, Donna J had to keep going so that the world can keep going. She witnessed many sad situations and deaths caused by Corona. It was very depressing and it became extremely bad when death became "normal". While working on the frontline, Donna J got extremely sick with the Corona and was devastated when she couldn't get help. It took to long to get help and at some point Donna J just said "I am not dying like this" she faught to be there for her kids. Donna J did "the big chop" to her hair and now more than anything, she embraces her natural hair. This was all lead on from when all the hair salons closed down due to the Pandemic. She realized that she had a problem when she was embarrassed to wear her natural hair to work. One day, Donna J said "why am I ashamed of what God gave me?" She really started to examine her mindset and the more she examined, the more she realized that 2020 was in fact also a blessing in disguise. She found herself! Donna J could not believe that she found herself during a time when many is losing themselves. During this time we was having peaceful protest, riots, killer bee hornets and a lot of hate crimes being brought to us in 2020 vision. There was no hiding what have been here all along. Donna J was full of mixed emotions so she had write this song to retain her sanity. Over time, things eased up a little but than her sister died and it's like here we go again.
