I didn't expect a new Sonic game so soon, let alone a 2D one that had been outsourced to Arzest, the Balan Wonderworld developers. I was also surprised by how much Sonic Superstars reminded me of the Sonic 4 - in good and bad ways. You could even make the argument that Sonic Superstars is something of a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 3.
