SCSA "Taipan X" .223 Wylde Rifle (everything you need to know)

After seeing numerous complaints online from people having issues with their Taipan Light rifle and after my previous review having personally experienced some of this same issues, I was keen to look at the new design of the Southern Cross Small Arms Taipan X rifle. This rifle has had some redesigns being a brass deflector, a hybrid spring assisted pump and straight pull bolt action, removal of the original bolt catch and a new hammer promising faster lockup times. I put the rifle through it's paces and thankfully had no sticking issues or malfunctions with this new Taipan X. I don't like the lack of a lock forward on the pump action like you'd see on the Remington 7615 and I wasn't a fan of the bolt lock of the Taipan X, however it shot Federal Premium 62gr Trophy Bonded Tip ammo into 0.8" @ 100 yards just like I achieved with it's predecessor The Taipan Light.
