CircuWasteVETAfrica student ceremony in Sao Tome

The CircuWasteVETAfrica project, through the collaboration of the Don Bosco training centre and the Centro de Formação Profissional de São Tomé e Príncipe in São Tomé, has successfully trained 50 students in the foundational concepts of green waste management studies. After 3-months of physical training, students have now been equipped with e-waste recycling and responsible disposal, fabric waste recycling, upcycling innovation, and practical strategies for extracting value from waste. In this video, learners were allowed to present their final project and group work as instructed by their trainers, allowing them to show their ideas that can lead to local green businesses that contribute to more sustainable waste management systems and better employment opportunities in the labour market The CircuWasteVETAfrica Learner’s programme is a vocational pilot training that took place in Ghana, Angola, and São Tomé and Príncipe, with 150 learners enrolled across the three countries.
