NAREW Z PERSPEKTYWY KAJAKA

The Narew is called by many the "POLISH AMAZON." This longest tributary of the Vistula River originates in Belarus, yet its length in that country is less than 50 km. The rest of this beautiful river, over 460 km, lies within Poland. It is a lowland river that changes with every kilometer. The most beautiful section of the Narew (in my opinion) is from the Siemianówka Reservoir Dam to the first weir, where the Narew National Park ends. Of course, beyond that, it's also a beautiful river, but with a slightly different character. Kayaking on the Narew is pure pleasure. Aside from seven weirs, the Dębe Dam, and a few rapids (the flow of which depends on the water level), there are no obstacles on the river that would require kayakers to portage their kayaks. However, there are plenty of beautiful spots and plenty of wildlife. In the Narew National Park, I even saw a moose crossing the river 😉. Additionally, I was very lucky to meet some very positive people. In my opinion, the Narew and Bug are the wildest rivers, over 400 km long, that flow through Poland.
