Lawyer Omari Urges for Calm as Probe Into Lakewood School Student’s Death Continues
Lawyer Danstan Omari representing Lakewood Private School has appealed for calm and urged the public to avoid speculation following the death of a Grade 9 student who was found dead within the school compound. Speaking after the post-mortem examination, the school's legal representative conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, describing the loss as tragic and calling on Kenyans to empathize with the grieving parents. He noted that while a preliminary post-mortem report had been released, further investigations are still underway, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) continue probing the circumstances surrounding the student's death. The school maintained that it is cooperating fully with investigators and assured parents that learning will continue as normal, insisting there is no cause for panic as the institution remains committed to the safety and well-being of all learners in accordance with the Basic Education Act.
