This is how I straighten my hair with less direct heat than the standard blow dry and flatiron method. No direct heat touches the lower half of my hair, which is the more fragile part, so it's a healthier/less damaging alternative :) It also gives your ends a bump or curl with out you having to use direct heat to do it! I did not apply a heat protectant since I only flat-ironed the roots. Feel free to use one! I pressed the roots on 380 degrees.
