Governor Oikawa praised the team, saying, "We saw Kashima's strength again this year. The Ibaraki Derby against Mito, the first in J1 history, was also exciting." After the visit, Manager Oniki spoke to reporters, reflecting on the season, saying, "It's disappointing that we couldn't win the championship, but I felt the players' growth."
