Zydeco Force live on Zydeco Extravaganza the television series!

Zydeco Force came from rural St. Landry Parish and carried a sound that felt both rooted and progressive. They were young but respectful of the past, polished yet rough around the edges. With Jeffery Broussard on accordion, Herbert Broussard on rubboard, Shelton Broussard on guitar, Robby “Mann” Robinson on bass, and Raymond Thomas on drums, the band helped shape a generation of Zydeco with a groove that traveled far beyond Louisiana while staying true to their roots. This footage comes from the Zydeco Extravaganza television series, hosted by Don and Charles Cravins. It was a platform that gave bands like Zydeco Force room to grow and be seen on a major stage. Their rise was synonymous with the show's widespread popularity, both becoming part of a moment when Zydeco was reaching wider audiences without losing its footing. This is a glimpse into that golden era, when the music was stretching out, and Zydeco Extravaganza and Zydeco Force were right at the center of it.
