Recording King RAM-3 vs The Loar LM110 Mandolin Short Comparison and Review
Two mandolins sub $300, compared for your reference. The Loar LM110, plays great, setup nearly perfect, 1.18 nut but sounds like a toy or plastic. Bonus has foam already under tailpiece to stop ghostnotes. Recording King RAM-3, very high action, needs a different bridge or significant adjustment to play well, sounds quite good, better tuning stability. A OnePlus 8T was used for video, unfortunately the difference in sound and volume is minimized a lot. The difference between these is huge, it's almost comical in person.
