The Hamsa, Artistic RVers, Nature and Friends

David and Cheryl were among the very first guests to visit our Olde Farm, and hang out at Bin-A-While. It was great to welcome them back. Their latest adventure took them on a seven-week RV journey from Ohio to California and back again, with stops at national parks, unique roadside destinations, family gatherings, and Cheryl's 50th high school reunion. Along the way they explored places like Saguaro National Park, the Spiral Jetty on the Great Salt Lake, and Nebraska's Homestead National Historical Park. And of course, Bin-A-While at Olde Farm. One of the highlights of our conversation was Cheryl's artwork. She shares the story behind several of her pieces, including a Hamsa—a traditional Middle Eastern symbol often associated with protection and good fortune—and explains how her Jewish faith and life experiences inspire her creative work. We also talk about her Hebrew-inspired artwork, note cards, and a beautiful sunflower piece that was created, much of which was on the road. As always, the conversation wanders into the things that make travel meaningful: family, friendship, faith, learning from people with different backgrounds, and the unexpected connections that happen when you open your door to fellow travelers.
