Sakina was said to be only 4 years old when she embraced martyrdom in the prison of Damascus ( sham ka zindaan ) . After the tragedy of Karbala, the progeny of Mohammad (P.B.U.H) were taken prisoner by the army of Yazid. They were paraded across different cities before being brought to Damascus, where they were eventually imprisoned. The barbarians that were part of this evil army did not let Sakina rest for one bit. Shimr (L.A) had taken her ear-rings out of her ears forcefully, and whenever Sakina tried to cry for her father and her uncle, she was beaten and asked to be quiet.
