PWR Kirby Air Ride City Trial Any% Speedrun in 49:41

This time was only made possible due to the new multiplayer Drag Race strats (of which I opted to skip DR2's strat). Unbelievable gameplay and luck. I assumed an ordinary run, even below average, a couple cities in. You can tell how disengaged I was during the bouncy items event. In fact, one more bad thing occurring would've led to a reset. When I came across the Secret Chamber alls, the luck had switched around and my quoted words actually started to ring true. This led to me needing the assistance of my chat to help me with what I had already gotten and what I was missing, since I was paying less attention than usual before I got lucky. In the end, this only made it (post Dyna Blade) due to the game with defense and a pillar. I speculated earlier on that I had only gotten 6/7 of the 10 item boxes, and was correct (missing defense). Setting the stadium to Destruction Derby in order to get DD2, my last missing stadium, made it so that the city spawned more offense and defense than usual—allowing for 10 defenses with godlike boxes. Timesaves possible from this point on: remove one 3 minute city (the one I got DR1 on) while still completing every checkbox in the cities I did - 2m45s (need one more re-entry for 10 star poles) essentially perfect stadium luck. I've gotten this a few times, but fell short in events or execution. DR2 in one go with three players - 25s DR2 and DR4 resets - 20s High Jump in one go - 18s (not needing to enter at all in the stadium portion of the run, and getting rid of the faster of the two plays) With these in mind, and immaculate play through the rest of all stadiums and menuing, the best theoretical time equates to around a 45:30 given my set of luck and play. If you managed every/most every single event and bonus checkbox with every stadium, you could omit some of the stadium checkboxes that take a longer time (i.e. DD 50 KOs) and potentially come up with a sub 45. Do I see this ever happening RTA? No. Do I want people to try this run with this goal in mind? Absolutely. I think that eventually this run can be bested with this mindset.
