We stayed in a monastery in Venice
We laid our hats at an old monastery, Casa Sant’ Andrea in Venice. We paid 108 Euros (about $173 AUD or $115 USD) per night for three nights in June 2024. The room shared a bathroom with one other room and the price included a continental breakfast. Casa Sant' Andrea is about a ten minute walk from Venice station. Be aware that there are steps over the bridge if you have suitcases. You can always use the services of a Venice porter if you need help. Just around the corner is a the Grand Canal where you can pick up most Vaporetto lines or a water taxi to explore Venice. Alternatively, it's about a twenty five minute walk to St. Marks Square. Also around the corner are supermarkets, bars and restaurants. More detail on our visit to Venice can be found at our Facebook site: www.facebook.com/bridgesontheroad We hope we inspire you to lay your hats in some new places. We make most of our bookings through booking.com including this one. We do this through the shop back app which gives us cash back on our bookings. This year we will earn over $1000 AUD cashback. Aussie friends, if you want to try shopback, you can get cashback on a huge range of online retailers not just travel booking. If you fancy trying it out, use this referral link and you will get some bonus cashback (and so will we) https://app.shopback.com/9i9jtBSDgIb The link only works from a mobile device, so alternatively when you sign up you can use our referral code: kjsfaA #travel #over50stravel #travelover50 #travelcouple #hotelreviews #hotel #budgettravel #italy #venice
