Carried On His Shoulders // Exodus 27:20–21; 28:1–14

Have you ever wondered if God has forgotten you or stopped paying attention to your life? In this message from Exodus 27–28, Pastor Josh Thompson shows how the high priest of Israel carried the names of God’s people on his shoulders whenever he entered the presence of Yahweh. This powerful image reveals something deeper about the heart of the gospel and the work of Jesus Christ. As we explore the continual lamp in the tabernacle and the garments of the high priest, we see how every detail points forward to Christ. The light in the sanctuary never went out, reminding Israel that God’s presence never fades. And when the priest stepped into the holy place, he did not go alone. The names of the twelve tribes were engraved on his shoulders, showing that he carried the people of God into the presence of the Lord. What Aaron did symbolically, Jesus has done perfectly. Our true High Priest carries His people before the Father and continually intercedes for them. If you feel unseen, remember this truth: your name is known to God and carried by Christ Himself. 📖 Passages: Exodus 27:20–21; Exodus 28:1–14; Hebrews 7:25; John 8:12 🗣️ Speaker: Pastor Josh Thompson 🕊️ Series:    • Current Series - Exodus: Leaving the Darkness   --- Learn more / plan a visit: https://legacycitychurch.com Give: https://legacycitychurch.com/give Sermon archive: https://legacycitychurch.com/sermons Follow Legacy City Church:   / legacycitychurch     / legacycitychurch      / @legacycitychurch   Follow Pastor Josh Thompson:   / __josh_thompson__     / pastorjoshla     / pastorjoshla
