1970-1976 CADILLAC ELDORADO HARMONIC BALANCER RESTORED

Eldorado George Tel: 727-364-7523 eMail: [email protected] I am a serious collector of vintage Cadillac Eldorados and personally have seven (7) in my collection. Due to the absence of commercially available solutions I began restoration of critical components for my own classic car collection that evolved into me assisting other collectors with valuable restored items while at the same time making new Eldorado friends all over the world. In this video I have depicted the 1970 - 1976 CADILLAC 500ci 8.2 Liter Harmonic Balancer as a bench layout of the individual components that comprise the inseparable balancer assembly comprised of the inertial mass rings that is fused to the mounting hub via a synthetic elastomeric vulcanized bonding seam ,.. that in-turn is mounting with 4 grade 8 hardened bolts having a differential bolt pattern to facilitate orientation alignment onto the neck adapter that is in-turn mounted onto the end of the crankshaft. The harmonic balancer provides resonance control via vibration dampening by absorbing and dissipating harmonics arising from the torsional twisting of the crankshaft. The Harmonic balancer requires a press‐in interference fit to ensure transference of the resonance and rotational orientation of the keyway so that the crankshaft and harmonic balancer are in concert movement in perfect step with each other. The Eldorado OEM damper consists of an outer inertial mass bonded/vulcanized to an inner hub ,.. the outer inertia mass and the energy dissipating synthetic elastomer element provides the bonde to the mounting hub. AC PROGRAMMER CONTROL MODULE that facilitates the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) for the 1978 Cadillac. In the 2nd subsequent video I am performing a functional validation test of the final assembled embodiment under vacuum actuation. These units are fully validated SHOW QUALITY RESTORED MODULES derived from an original vintage 1978 CADILLAC ELDORADO AC PROGRAMMER CONTROL MODULE. These units facilitate the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC). I also restore the GM Cadillac Original Vintage Power Antennas from 1959 through 1978 including the specialty four (4) year only Limiting Switch Based Antennas specific to 1973-1976. I also restore the GM Cadillac Original Vintage Steering Wheels with the WoodGrain InLay on the front face perimeter from 1969 through 1978 including the one (1) year only specialty 1969 Rim-Blow steering wheel that is actuated by squeezing the inside perimeter of the steering wheel ring having the embedded Rim-Blow Horn Switch as opposed to the conventional Horn Pad design. I reproduce my own Rim-Blow Horn Switch just as I reproduce the WoodGrain InLay in order to provide this difficult and elegant restoration to "Serious Classic Cadillac Collectors" I also restore the GM Cadillac Original Vintage Steering Wheels from 1967 through 1968 having the (2) two year only 682 Grip-lines speciality design on the front face of the steering wheel ring perimeter. I also restore the GM Cadillac Original Vintage Steering Wheels from 1959 through 1966 having the (2) two tone colorizing with the chrome accent pieces and the 200 Grip Line specialty design on the front face of the steering wheel ring perimeter. I also restore the Original Vintage GM Cadillac Steering Columns from 1959-1978 including the Tilt & Telescopic Variant with specific expertise in the 1967-1968 T&T column having the very problematic turn-signal lever cancellation problem. I also restore all the GM Cadillac Power Motion ACTUATION SEAT MECHANISMS from 1959-1978 ,.. including the 4-Way Bucket Seat Variant - the 2-Way Bucket Seat Variant and the 6-Way Power Seat mechanism for the Strato-Bench Seat.
