This Quiet Malaysian Town has a Dark Past..

In 1942, the small town of Parit Sulong, Malaysia became the site of one of the worst war crimes in the Pacific. After fierce battles in the Malayan campaign, multiple hundred wounded Australian and Indian soldiers were captured by Japanese forces, brutally executed, and their bodies burned. This massacre remains a haunting chapter in Malaysia’s World War II history. My story today follows the journey of Ben Hackney, who was the same age as me.
