KHAJOOR - Mrs Vahchef

Mrs.Vahchef is very fond of cooking and her Recipes are very unique and fit for busy women specially working women Khajoor or Khajur is a deep fried delicious pastry. Khajoor is one of the most popular Afghan desserts that are made for special festive occasions. INGREDIENTS: 1. All purpose flour 1 cup 2. Semolina 1 tbs 3. Salt 1 pinch 4. Cardamom powder 1 pinch 5. Baking soda 1 pinch 6. Baking powder ½ tsp 7. Ghee 1 tsp 8. Sugar powder 2 tbs 9. Egg ½ nos 10. Milk ½ cup METHOD: 1. Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, semolina, salt, cardamom powder, baking soda, baking powder, ghee and mix it. 2. To it add sugar powder, egg, little milk and make a nicely like chapati dough. 3. Dust some flour and roll it using rolling pin into thick chapatti, later cut into diamond shape. 4. Heat oil in a pan and add khajoor, deep fry it on slow flame until it changes to brown colour. 5. Transfer into paper towel and rest it. 6. Now khajoor is ready to serve.
