Since we're female, it's understandable that when we cosplay as male characters, we call it "cross-dressing." But what about when we cosplay as female characters? Since the opposite of cross-dressing is cross-dressing, does that mean playing a female character is cross-dressing? But if you're already a woman, you're a woman without any need to dress up as a woman. When a woman plays a woman, she's still a woman, so maybe we could call it "feminine makeup."
